Luis Fabiano x2 but just 1 point

This season, Sevilla has been almost as stable as Barca and Real Madrid and this weekend they had the chance to overtake Barcas 2nd place.

On the home stadium, Ramon Sanchez Pizujan, Malaga came as the underdogs but, despite their position at the bottom of La Liga, ended up going back home with a 2-2 result after a night that was'nt exactly proving all the luck Sevilla could have hoped for. At halftime the guest was ahead with 2 goals to none although the Seville team had chances enough to prove this seasons top rank worthy.

In the 2nd half, especially Luis Fabiano made a difference. First a beautiful header in the 58th minute made it 1-2, and 15 minutes later a chance coming out of nowhere brought back hope at Ramon Sanchez Pizujan when Fabiano gifted the home crowd with another brilliant goal.

Luis Fabiano: "I scored two goals, but what I wanted was to win. I go with the feeling that we could have done more. The problem was that the first half where we wasted several clear chances”.

Nevertheless, the match ended with a draw and bolts Sevilla to the 3rd spot in, just 2 points after Real Madrid leading La Liga.
