Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano has been sidelined until after Christmas due to a sprained ankle.
The Brazil international suffered a strain and will be out for two to three weeks, ruling him out of the club's remaining games before the Christmas break.
Fabiano suffered the injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid in La Liga. Sevilla will face Rangers in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday looking to secure top spot in their group after a good European campaign.
Fabiano: "I am disappointed of course, we have lost some important points lately, whereas FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have gained points, and on top of that I got this small injury, so I cannot help my teammates the next couple of weeks. I want win everytime, and it is frustrating to watch games in stead of settling them. But I will be back soon!"
